The 6th annual Pig and Pinot Festival
Hotel Arts hosted City Palate’s 6th Annual Pig and Pinot benefiting Calgary Meals on Wheels
The event took place on June 16 from 7pm – 10pm. It was a fantastic evening filled with succulent pork paired with pinot wines. There were 11 extremely talented chef teams that created delicious and original dishes using free range pork provided by Spragg’s Meat Shop, all vying for the coveted “Divine Swine” trophy sponsored by Alberta Pork.
An amazing selection of pinot wines from around the world were provided by Bin 905, Kensington Wine Market, Metrovino, Richmond Hill Wines and The Cellar. The guests of the of the sold out event enjoyed a great silent auction, a fine wine raffle valued at $2000, Cappuccino King coffee cart, and live music from Rob Young and Simply Sinatra.
The evening’s winner of the coveted “Divine Swine” trophy was the presented to the team from Anju for their delicious creation. The winning ticket for the wine raffle was drawn and Mr. Hahle was the lucky winner of $2000 worth of fine wines.
This event helped us raise more than $19,000 all of which will go to support Calgary Meals on Wheels clients and programs.
We would like to thank all of those in attendance, the competing chef teams, the sponsors, City Palate, Cookbook Co. and Hotel Arts for such a wonderful event benefitting Calgary Meals on Wheels. Your community spirit will help us continue our mission.
